"My husband and I called Dee's Roofing for an estimate for repair work on a Monday morning and he came by within a few hours.  Then, after providing an extremely reasonable estimate, he completed the work within three days.  In addition, he found more areas needing repair and did not charge us for the extra labor or materials.  I can't recommend Mr. Luton enough...he is professional, experienced, and a man of high integrity",

"I would recommend Dee’s Roofing for any roofing job.  Dennis Luton fixed a leak around my chimney that I had been dealing with for almost two years.  It all started in September of 2003 when I hired a roofer to fix the problem.  He told me that he replaced the flashing and had done everything he could and the leak continued.  The roofer even came out five more times.  I really thought that I had a problem that couldn’t be solved.  I finally tired of dealing with him and started looking for other alternatives.  I contacted three roofing companies, Dee’s Roofing being one of them.  The first two hardly looked at the chimney problem and went immediately to pulling out their measuring tapes and told me I needed a new roof.  Dennis and his wife, Jan, came out on a Saturday---which I really appreciated.  I didn’t hear any measuring tapes and there was no mention of a new roof.  He told me exactly what he thought the problem was (the flashing around the chimney) and how he would fix it.  The bid he gave me had a maximum limit.  Dennis told me that it would not exceed that amount and might even be less.  When the job was finished, the actual amount was about $200 less than the estimated maximum. I am happy to report that after a three inch rain, my roof didn’t leak.  Needless to say I can’t say enough good things about Dee’s Roofing and Dennis Luton.  I would recommend this company for any roofing need, particularly flashing problems",

WE RECENTLY HELPED ONE OF OUR PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS WITH THE SELLING OF HER HOME---AND THE BUYING OF HER NEW HOME.
1.  She called me to inspect the roof on the house she had for sale, and we discovered hail
damage.  She had a valid insurance claim that paid for a new roof.
2.  She then asked me to inspect the roof on the new house that she was purchasing.  We
discovered up to $800 in damages---allowing her to re-negotiate the price of
her home (considering these necessary repairs).
3.  Needless to say, we saved her thousands of dollars, and also helped her get a new roof on
the house she was selling---making it much more appealing to the prospective buyer.

"Dennis ---Thank you so much for all of your assistance.  You have helped Matt and I be very prepared for selling and buying our houses.  I will definitely be calling you for roofing issues in the future, and referring my friends to you as well."

QUITE OFTEN WE GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS A RANGE OF COST, BECAUSE WE DON'T ALWAYS KNOW AHEAD OF TIME OF WHAT WE WILL ENCOUNTER WITH ANY REPAIR.  OUR CUSTOMERS ARE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WHEN THEIR BILL FOR OUR WORK COMES IN WELL-BELOW THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT IN THAT RANGE.   WE GIVE PEOPLE A RANGE, SO THEY WILL NOT BE SURPRISED IF THINGS GET EXPENSIVE---NOT NECESSARILY MEANING THAT THEIR COST WILL BE AS HIGH AS THE WORST CASE SCENARIO.

THE FOLLOWING IS A TESTIMONY OF THIS SITUATION:

"There’s a reason why the term ‘professional’ was coined: They needed to come up with a word to best describe Dennis Luton.  My roof received damage from high winds.  I found Dee’s Roofing just doing a simple web search on roofers in my local area.  I contacted Dennis and set up a time for him to inspect the damage.  To my surprise, he showed up on time.   After inspecting the damage, he gave me an estimate that was a range of 2 numbers. The reason for this;  there is no way of knowing what he will find underneath of what he can see on top.   I’m thinking: “here we go, another bait and switch ploy”.  What choice did I really have;  I needed the work done quickly.  I agreed to the proposal. Dennis again showed up exactly at the agreed upon time.  He not only repaired the problem, he also had an explanation why the 5 year old roof failed.  The culprit was bad home builder practices.  The nails holding the shingles to the roof were practically driven all the way through the shingles.   Because he was through with the repairs so quickly, I asked Dennis to take a look at the rest of the roof.  He found another problem with 1 of the valleys.  The shingles were not  tacked down on one end.  Although the shingles were still attached to the roof, there would be no way to predict how long they would stay in place.  I had Dennis tack down the ends of the shingles.  Even with the added time and effort Dennis spent on my roof; the repair bill still fell within the estimate’s charge window.  I was amazed.  I’ve never experienced any repair person to do this before. Only a roofer with his experience could have seen, and thereby prevented, future damage.  I would recommend Dee’s Roofing to anyone with a roof.  He’s friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, fair, and trustworthy. He’s the avid professional that every contractor should try to emulate."

Thank you for coming out to our house yesterday in follow up to your repairs to our chimney flashing.  As expected the flashing was indeed leak free. Also thanks for helping seal the leak on our furnace vent, we probably wouldn't have caught this, and it was very nice of you to seal this at no charge.  No one likes to have roofing leaks, but I am glad I selected your company to help us out.  I will offer my highest recommendation for your company to anyone who needs roofing repairs.

DIRT AND PINE NEEDLES
DAMMING-UP
CORNER FLASHINGS
OF CHIMNEY

HONESTY---INTEGRITY
COUPLED WITH EXPERTISE DERIVED FROM 40YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
ARE GOOD REASONS TO CALL DEE'S ROOFING FOR ALL YOUR ROOF REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE NEEDS.

CHIMNEY REPAIRS CAN OFTEN BE VERY TECHNICAL AND EXPENSIVE---THEN AT OTHER TIMES---A LEAK CAN BE CAUSED SIMPLY BY THE DAMMING EFFECT OF DEBRIS.  ANOTHER ROOFING COMPANY COULD HAVE RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT OF ALL THE FLASHINGS AT THIS CHIMNEY ALONG WITH AN ADJACENT VALLEY (EASILY COSTING OVER $1000.00).   WE CLEANED OFF THE DEBRIS, TRIMMED A FEW SHINGLES, APPLIED A SMALL AMOUNT OF CAULKING, AND THEN CHARGED ONLY A MINIMUM SERVICE FEE.
THE LEAK WAS STOPPED AND WE HAVE ANOTHER "VERY-PLEASED" CUSTOMER!

THE ORIGINAL ROOF INSTALLER DID NOT TRIM BACK THE SHINGLES ALONG THIS CHIMNEY WALL---AS DEBRIS BUILT-UP---WATER WAS DIVERTED HORIZONTALLY (JUMPING OVER THE TURN-BACK BREAK OF THE  FLASHING).

(May 23, 2013)

Thank you, Dennis, for the prompt repairs.  It was also a surprise to see the close match of shingles.  Thank you for sealing the flashing at chimney (at no extra cost).  I will call you again should we have further issues and I will also recommend you should I hear of someone needing roof repairs....

Thanks again....

We were recently called to repair a leak over the pantry area of a residence in Elgin.  Roofers had been "caulking" and applying various sealants for a few years to try to stop this leak.  The ventilator flashing was so covered in these sealants that you could not see the rusted out metal roofing panel beneath the flashing.  We yanked the galvanized flashing---spliced in some repair pieces---and installed a new vent---and the problem was resolved.  Needless to say---we now have another satisfied customer!
